The Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) defines “Insider Threat” as the threat that an insider will use his or her authorized access, wittingly or unwittingly, to do harm to the Department's mission, resources, personnel, facilities, information, equipment, networks, or systems.
SPIRE Research & Consulting was commissioned to prepare an Insider Threat Survey by Halodata to be conducted at the Smart Cybersecurity Summit on 28th April 2022 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
The objective of the study was to understand the opinions and orientation of employees as well as their organizations towards Insider Threat.
The fieldwork was conducted through a self-completed online survey using Spire provided QR code links at the event location. Further, Halodata provided Starbucks cards as completion incentive to encourage survey participation.
